History The Texas Ambassadors were formed in the summer of 2000. The principles that are the foundation of the club are simple, yet powerful. 1. Academics 2. Basketball 3. Community Service

The Texas D-1 Ambassadors Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) charitable
organization that funds and realizes opportunities for young men and women
in Texas. As an organization we pledge to organize and expose every player to the opportunity to earn a college scholarship. This takes hard work and commitment by the player, the parents and the organization. Through an aggressive fundraising strategy and a network of mentors/sponsors we will meet these kids needs and assist in propelling them towards their goals.

| On Court Philosophy: |
"Big Ballers, Top Scholars, Shot
Callers" Our mission statement outlines our off court philosophy. Our basketball philosophy is one of teaching each player to take personal responsibility in a man to man pressure defense, and in aggressive trapping zones, in all areas of the court. Every shot is contested and the goal is for our players to be the best conditioned in order that they may impose their will on the other team. The style is patterned after Coach Rick Pitino's aggressive style at the University of Louisville, and the "40 Minutes of Hell" that was the signature of Nolan Richardson's University of Arkansas teams in the 90's. Both have won National Championships, so I feel they are great styles to emulate. College recruiters love to watch kids that can play solid basketball at a breakneck pace. Eligibility/Player
Conduct All players must have passing grades and be on schedule to pass through the appropriate high school grade. The SAT is to be written by the end of the player's junior year in order to enhance his recruiting opportunities. Any behavior deemed detrimental by the coaching staff, whether it be the PLAYERS or the PARENTS (on or off the court) will result in suspension or removal from the club. Playing
Time The Texas D-1 Ambassadors is rapidly becoming one of the most competitive programs in the country. All players will be given quality instruction, but no playing time is guaranteed for any player. As a rule, ten players maximum are invited to each tournament. As coach, I believe if a kid dresses, he should play. Financial
Commitment/Fundraising
As a club, we are a family, ultimately all working together for the
benefit of the players. As such all families are expected to
participate in offsetting expenses. The Texas Ambassadors along with
Texas Basketball Inc will provide partial sponsorships and assistance in
offsetting the expenses that these teams incur.
